Halloween Bark in 2 Super Easy to Make Steps!

Hello all! Halloween is in just 6 days and I have a special Halloween treat for you that is so fast, so easy and even the kids can do it! This two step recipe really can’t get any simpler but the possibilities are endless. Halloween bark is a perfect activity for kids and adults.

Why I Love it

This Halloween Bark is so crazy easy ! You simply heat it up, spread it out and drop candy on it! Done! Let your kids or grandkids have fun with the last part, they will love it! It reminds me of decorating Christmas cookies.

The one pictured here is Halloween candy. You can make it before Halloween for a party or after as a way of using up the extra candy from trick-or-treating. While you can freely interchange literally everything in this recipe, one piece of advice I will tell you is I used semi- sweet for the base to break up the sweetness of the other candy. You can even use dark chocolate for a bite of bitterness.

Swaps & Specs

  • Be careful to not scorch the chocolate- no one wants burnt chocolate! Heating it up in intervals or using a double boiler will prevent this.
  • Add whatever candy you want! This is the fun part! Go crazy and add as little or as much as you want. Add different chocolates over the top if you wish. Add pretzels and crumbled chips for a salty crunch!
  • Make it healthier by adding dried fruit, nuts and granola!
  • Special Note: Wilton cake decoration products are sold in practically every store nationwide. I use them for a lot of cake, cookie, and sweets decorations. During the holidays, they always put out themed hard candy decorations made of royal icing. You can use these to easily up your decorating game.
