Learn how to Make Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies!

Hey guys! I got one our favorite recipes coming to you today. Chocolate Chip cookies are one of our absolute favorite kind of cookies! It’s a classic sweet that is enjoyed by millions across the globe. Chocolate chip cookies are also America’s favorite cookie! This version has the best of both worlds; it’s 50% chewy and 50% crispy. We make them for holidays, birthdays and often just because! Perfect for potlucks at work functions too!

There are a few tips to making the cookies perfect though. I have been using stoneware from Pampered Chef to bake all my cookies for years. They have the most perfectly browned bottoms. I get a better bake on them and better color with the stoneware. They don’t get overdone or over-browned like on a lot of metal pans Check out the picture below! When using stoneware, have the raw dough balls ready to go so you can just put a sheet of parchment on and go

Another tip is parchment paper! If you have never used it for cookies, prepare to have your life forever changed! Cleanup is a breeze and it makes transferring to a cooling rack super easy. Simply slide the whole paper from the pan to the rack. Done! Place another paper and ready to bake!

Most importantly, is room temp butter. You will need to place a couple sticks of butter on the counter to soften so the butter can blend properly! But it can’t be too warm otherwise the cookies will spread too fast in the oven and become flat.

Swaps & Specs:

  • Switch the semi sweet chips for any kind of chip you like! I really like the peanut butter ones!
  • Add walnuts or pecan pieces for extra crunch, nutrition and nutty flavor
  • Swap out the chips altogether for Reese’s Pieces, crushed pretzels or M&M’s – you gotta try the peanut butter ones! HA! Are you sensing a theme?
  • Chocolate chip cookies can be turned into other desserts like:
    • make at home Blizzard mix-ins
    • sundae, cake or dessert toppings
    • ice cream sandwiches
    • bake in a big sheet for a cookie cake or pizza
  • Make it healthy by adding chopped dried fruit pieces or raisins!

Try the recipe as is or try some of the changes I recommend, either way you won’t be disappointed. We make them all the time and I have never once thrown any out for being too old. Enjoy!
